COVID-19 Vaccines for Students

As of the first week of November, 2021, the FDA and the CDC have approved the use of  the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-11, as well as children ages 12-17.

Alameda County is currently prioritizing getting the vaccines to areas with low vaccination rates and high case rates. This does not apply to Alameda, so we are not yet sure we can set up vaccination clinics. In the meantime, the county is urging parents to contact their pediatricians, local pharmacies, and community-based clinics to set up vaccination appointments if they are able. A list of those resources are available to the left.

Our next clinic is June 8 at Love Elementary School. The clinic, which is being hosted by Color Health,  will be open from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. First, second, and booster shots will be available for people ages 5 and up.

Please see this FAQ for more information about the clinic.
