State Public Health Issues New Travel Guidelines
Posted 4/9/21

On April 2, the California Department of Public Health modified its travel guidance for state residents

According to the new guidance, fully vaccinated Californians:

·   can travel safely within the United States and California

·   should follow CDC travel guidance

·   do not need to test or quarantine before or after travel unless they have COVID-19 symptoms

The guidance also notes that non-vaccinated Californians should avoid non-essential travel and

·   get tested 1-3 days before travel

·   get tested again 3-5 days after arriving at their destination

·   self-quarantine for a full 7 days after travel (even if test is negative)

For the safety of all, we continue to ask that if you travel, you adhere to the recommendations to mask, maintain physical distancing, and wash your hands frequently. Our ability to open our schools for in-person instruction - and keep them open - very much depends on all of us protecting the our own health and that of others.
