AUSD Coronavirus Hub

what you can do

On March 16, 2020, the Alameda County Department of Public Health - along with the public health departments of five other counties in the Bay Area - ordered a shelter in place for the next three weeks.  If you haven’t yet received the details about this order, you can find more information here

We encourage all family and staff to comply with the terms of this order in order to create the "social distancing" needed to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, our state, and the country at large. In the meantime, please also remember the importance of:

  • Getting a flu vaccination  (i.e., a "flu shot")
  • Washing hands frequently
  • Covering your nose and/or mouth with your arm or a tissue when you sneeze or cough
  • Cleaning surfaces routinely
  • Avoiding touching your face, particularly your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Avoiding close contact with others who are ill.
  • Avoiding getting within six feet of all other people

introduction

In-class instruction in all AUSD schools has been suspended through May 1. We have non-digital learning activities (meaning those that do not require a computer or an internet connection) available on our Online Learning Opportunities Portal, as well as online links to educational resources that have been approved by our Teaching and Learning staff.  Distance learning will begin on April 6, after our Spring Break.

The education and well-being of your students is our priority, and we are committed to providing you with timely, transparent, and accurate communications about this public health situation. Please check the "Updates" on this page to get the most recent information.
