PAR (Peer Assistance and Review)

Peer Assistance and Review

In keeping with Article 28 of the collective bargaining agreement, the AEA and the District have established a teacher Peer Assistance and Review program; PAR support is provided to permanent teachers who volunteer for assistance or who are referred to the program.

The PAR Joint Committee consists of five members: three are certificated classroom teachers, one each from elementary, middle and high school, selected by the AEA, and two members are administrators selected by the district.  The Joint Committee reviews PAR reports prepared by Consulting Teachers and makes recommendations regarding the program participant's progress in PAR.
