School Smarts in the News!
California PTA has posted an article about AUSD's comprehensive School Smarts Academy on its website. "School Smarts: 'Everyone Belongs' in AUSD" describes how our district "has made diversity and inclusion hallmarks of its overall mission," and includes quotes by both Superintendent Sean McPhetridge and Family Involvement Coordinator Claudia Medina. AUSD's Safe Haven Resolution
At the January 24 Board of Education meeting, board members voted 5-0 to approve a resolution declaring AUSD a "Safe Haven" school district that accepts and supports all children, regardless of race and nationality. For more information, please see the press release here.

Our five year strategic plan (“AUSD Master Plan”) adopted in 2010 identifies eight core goals and strategies that have shaped the District’s work in recent years.
